Lauren Brenaman, M.S., CCC-SLP, Founder of Advocacy Angels, brings nearly two decades of experience navigating complex healthcare systems on behalf of medically fragile patients, from infancy through end of life. She possesses specialized clinical expertise in geriatrics and in the care of fragile and premature infants. Since 2009, Lauren has devoted her professional career to guiding clients through healthcare challenges and advocating for access to high-quality, coordinated care. Lauren’s passion is working with individuals and their families to find solutions to difficulties associated with aging. Lauren specializes in providing reliable and caring support for clients based on their individual needs in order to maintain the quality of life they are used to. Lauren prides herself on being a consistent part of individuals’ healthcare team, especially helping clients and families navigate fragile medical decisions and end of life decisions/care.

Over the past 2 decades as a Speech-Language Pathologist, her clinical specialties have included disorders of swallowing across the lifespan (including NICU, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health), as well as voice, communication, speech, and cognitive disorders. She holds multiple advanced certifications, including AMPcare Effective Swallowing Protocol (ESP), SPEAK OUT! Parkinson’s Voice Project, Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD), and the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, among others. She has also received recognition for exceeding the continuing education requirements for maintenance of her speech-language pathology licensure.

In addition to her clinical work, Lauren is committed to professional mentorship and education, actively training students from the University of Arkansas and supporting early-career healthcare professionals.

Advocacy Angels was created to bridge critical gaps in access and flexibility found in traditional healthcare models, especially for underserved communities. With deep experience in corporate healthcare, Lauren identified the urgent need for services focused on personalized support and true accessibility. Advocacy Angels delivers on this by offering adaptable, client-centered care, allowing clients to choose individual visits or long-term plans with no minimum in-home time commitments. This approach provides practical, much-needed solutions that have been missing in the community for too long.
